2021 is making it the 10th year since its inception in 2012. NASA Space Apps is an international Hackathon for High school students, Students in the Universities / Polytechnics, Artists, coders, Scientists, Engineers, designers, Storytellers, Makers, Builders, Technologists, Entrepreneurs, etc., in cities all over the world, where teams engage with the NASA’s free and open data to collaboratively solve real-world problems on Earth and in space. 2020 Space Apps challenge Hackathon included over 26,000 participants at 251 events in over 140 countries. Space Apps is a NASA-led global initiative and the largest Hackathon organized in collaboration with universities, schools, and industries.
2021 NASA International Space Apps Challenge will be take place on October 2-3, 2021 in a virtual setting for the first time in our location. This year’s theme for Space Apps event is “The power of ten”, which is to mark the 10th year since the event started in 2012 and also, to show us that we can make much difference, when we come together in our numbers to solve world problems.
Enugu local event is organized by Gediptech Enterprise, and Mars Society Nigeria Chapter in partnership and collaboration with Schools and Tertiary institution, business organizations, tech company and students volunteers.
