Welcome to the one and only Local Space Apps Event in Ireland!
NASA International SpaceApps Challenge Limerick 2021 is brought to you by the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems, University of Limerick.
This local event (Limerick) is a 48 Hour International hackathon that will take place virtually from Oct 1st to Oct 3rd, 2021
Make your Mark!
Your ideas and your skills can change the world! (Yes, even if you are exceptionally weak at math!). Don't let the 'Apps' part put you off, the Best teams are often the most diverse, in terms of age, skills, and experience.
We have seen innovative projects made entirely out of cardboard!
For this year's hackathon, we'd like to welcome our new Space Agency partners: CSA, CNES, JAXA, and ESA. These space agencies along with NASA, will share free and open data and resources, subject-matter experts, and more!
Are you ready to impress them? Register Now!
Winners take it All!
Space Apps 2021 winners will be featured on the Space Apps website and social media.
They will be invited to present their projects to NASA personnel (and space agency partners, if applicable).
Our Limerick Champions will receive local event prizes (stay tuned for more on this!).
If travel is deemed safe, the winners will also be invited to visit a NASA site with the Space Apps Global Organizing (GO) Team to view a spacecraft launch. Each member of each winning team and one guest will be invited and will be responsible for covering their own costs for their personal travel, meals and incidental expenses, and accommodation expenses. Winners typically conduct fundraising activities to cover the costs of their trips.
