Space Apps NASHIK 2021 is proud to host its local hackathon for the 1st year. Since 2021, This is the first time Nashik Region organizing NASA Space App Challenge 2021 Hackathon. We are to create the largest number of registered applicants globally, producing the largest number of on-site solutions.
The hackathon embraces collaborative problem solving to produce relevant open-source solutions to advance space exploration missions and improve life on Earth. It is open to anyone who has a passion for making a difference and is focused on developing real solutions to global challenges.
What to expect
Participants will use NASA's data to create solutions to the challenges specified for this hackathon. Challenges will open near the date of the event, and participants will join teams, or bring their own teams to work towards the solutions. Challenges will be chosen on the day of the event by the teams. We will have one whole day of coding, and one day for a presentation pitching contest, where a jury will decide who will qualify for the global competition.

Q:Do I need to live in Nashik or be from the area to participate?
A: No, the challenge is all virtual, it does not matter from where you participate.
Q:How many people can be part of our team?
A: Typical Space Apps teams have 2-6 participants (the limit is 6 members per team). Space Apps Challenge is all about collaboration.
Q:Do I need a team before registration?
A: No, If you do not already have a team you will get an opportunity to find one during the team matching phase, which will start 1 week before the Hackathon.
Q.What is “Virtual Bootcamp”?
A. Prior to hackathon weekend, please tune in to our website and social media accounts to access exclusive content from NASA, Local Leads, Space Apps Ambassadors, previous Global Winners, and more. Guests will provide relevant workshops and tips for having a successful hackathon experience. This is a wonderful opportunity to tap into the broader Space Apps community.
