NASA Space Apps Cyprus is back for its 10th year. Offering participants life changing prizes!

For 10 years NASA’s Space Apps Challenge has proudly served as a hub for learning, innovation, and collaboration. In that spirit, in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and in the interest of our community’s health and safety, NASA and the Space Apps Global Organizing Team have made the difficult yet important and exciting decision to make Space Apps 2021 on October 2-3 an all-virtual hackathon.

To celebrate Space Apps tenth year, this year’s theme is “The Power of Ten”.

And this year the winning teams will receive from the Cyprus Space Exploration organisation (CSEO) mentorship from international space engineers to support furthering their solution.

An email will be sent between Monday September 27th and Friday October 1st to competition registrants with details of how to connect with the competition.

On October 2nd and 3rd join us to meet and compete with cities around the world to address challenges we face on Earth and in space.

Join us for the SpaceApps Kickoff on Saturday 2nd October 2020. Details of the virtual opening and closing sessions and mentorships are being finalised and will be sent to registrars via email or our social media outlets.

Since 2014, CSEO has been organising many space competitions on the island. CSEO’s competitions brought 3 Space Apps wins that captured the attention of Cypriots and audiences internationally.

Through its international space network, CSEO supported these teams to visit some of the most influential facilities and people in space, offering those teams the opportunity to progress their careers in the space industry, by connecting them with international experts in a range of fields and industries from around the world, to gain knowledge and experience.

With Space Apps 2021 Cypriot teams will have the chance to benefit from CSEO's International Space Network once again.

Everyone from students to engineers, creatives, developers or space enthusiasts are welcome to join in and experience one of the most exciting space competitions in the world.

Space Apps is a superb opportunity for teams to engage with the space industry. Offering teams a real experience of working in the space sector solving difficult challenges for a prize that truly is out of this world.
