Hello world!
Welcome to NASA Space Apps Challenge Piraeus 2021!
We are back again this year on the 2nd & 3rd October. This year’s hackathon will be all – virtual event due to COVID-19 pandemic. To build a sense of community during the event, we are setting up a discord server.
Space Apps is an international two - day hackathon for everyone who are passionately involved in finding solutions for the global problems. If you are a coder, a scientist, an engineer, a designer, a storyteller, a programmer, a maker, a gamer, a technologist, or just a space enthusiast with great ideas, that is the right place for you! You will have the opportunity to meet new people, team up, open your mind, stimulate your great idea generator, and build up something special.
You will be tasked to design, build and present innovative solutions to challenges we currently face on Earth and in Space. During the event, mentors will be available to support you and guide you towards your final solution to the challenge. Space agency partners NASA, CSA, CNES, JAXA and ESA will be providing data and resources. On the second day of the hackathon, you will have to present your solution, ideas, stories, product, or business case to judges for a chance to win local awards and proceed to the international competition round!
Attendance is free and open to anyone, no matter the age or skill level! Anyone over the age of 18 can register and participate to this year's virtual event. Participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian register for them.
