Ciao! Welcome to the NASA Space Apps Challenge!

For the second time Trieste and the ICTP SciFabLab have the pleasure to host the NASA Space Apps Challenge. The event will be 100% virtual and it will take place the 2-3 October 2021.

The NASA Space Apps challenge is an international contest, led by NASA, which will give you the possibility to face problems and challenges given by NASA scientists. More than 250 locations around in more than 70 country will host the events simultaneously, thus giving shape to the largest hackathon in the World! Be part of this great exhibition of ingenuity and creativity!

The NASA Space Apps challenge is a team contest and every team must pick one of the challenges and solve it, participating in this way to the competition with super prizes and be eligible of participating to the final global contest which will give you the possibility to present your project directly to o NASA, ESA, JAXA, CNES, and CSA personnel.

Our SciFabLab, placed at International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Miramare (Trieste), is a digital fabrication laboratory opened to all the citizens that want to develop a personal project, where they can find tools, equipment and support for their ideas.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to organize an on-person event with the current COVID-19 regulation, so the NASA Space Apps challenge will be held 100% virtual, but don’t worry, We will give you all the possible support for the projects!
