High-Level Project Summary
I made a multi media stop motion style video “From Lucy” It included poetry, music and art all made by Ife Joseph. It focused on the abundant possibilities of the Lucy Mission. An example of this is the knowledge that the asteroids might provide. Such as the history of our solar systems making. It might also provide some information on what’s beyond the Kuiper Belt. I made the Poem in the perspective of Lucy and what she could possibly find on her mission. The music was made in garage band with the purpose if making a sci-fitheme.

Detailed Project Description
Description
From Lucy is a multi media stop motion style video thats include multi media photos, music, and poetry. The main focus of the video is on the data that Lucy will potential collect, This information includes, confirming the theory that these asteroids are fossils from the begging of our solar system. It could also potential inform us of what’s beyond the Kuiper Belt. The background music was made in Garage Band, using the Planetarium Packet. The idea that when tinpot making the music was to give off a science fiction theme. This was to point out the possible knoledge that could be found in the asteriods. A common theme in classic science fiction films in wich the characters find answers from the great beyond The Poem in the middle of the video is in the perspective of Lucy as it ponders on what it might find on it’s mission. Ergo From Lucy is a multiethnic media video with the idea of the possibilities of the wisdom the space craft Lucy will encounter.
Space Agency Data
I used the NASA website and articles to provide Space backgrounds and Jupiter pictures for my project. I also watched the NASA animated video “Lucy’s Journey episode 2” to give me more information on the Lucy mission and it’s overall purpose. I also watched Lucy’s Mission Message to the Future for inspiration for the soundtrack, and poem.
Hackathon Journey
What originally convinced me to choose the Artfully Illuminated Asteroid challenge was how appealing it seemed for me to mix two subjects to abstractly depict something. I originally was going to make a classic photo stop motion movie with physical material and then have a larger more rhythmic poem. Eventually I realized that with such a short amount of time it was better to make my video virtual. The poem became shorter as I thought it out more thoroughly, as I saw finding words that rhymed with the subject words was rather difficult . All in all I am very satisfied with the product of my work so much so I’m thinking of making a sequel.
