Detailed Project Description

Our team ‘Artroids’ has presented a solution for ‘Artfully Illuminated Asteroids’ where ’LUCY’ mission will be launched by ’NASA’ on 16th of October 2021.

We aim to create a website which will showcase an informative summary of Nasa’s Lucy mission including the objective of the mission, various targets of Lucy in this mission, description about Trojan asteroids and significantly more.

We have attempted to make our website user friendly, easily accessible, comprehensible and informative to our best efforts by compiling all the viable information from verified sources and presenting them in a lucid but efficient means.

We are optimistic that our website will be adored by our viewers for the extent of reliability of information.

We have used the following tools, software and coding languages -

  • VS Code,
  • Chrome Developer Tools,
  • HTML,
  • CSS,
  • Java Script
  • Google ( for collecting information )
  • Canva

Space Agency Data

We have collected information from www.space.com about the LUCY mission to Trojan asteroids, the launch date, the path that it will follow in the coming years for its 12 years long journey ,the information that it will send back to earth from different trojans, about the dimensions of the space craft that will be used to send LUCY to space , about the instruments that it will carry along with itself and many more and finally at the end of the mission after 12 years what will happen to LUCY after completing its journey.

Hackathon Journey

Being the first year students, the hackathon journey was an amazing experience for all of us.

The hackathon gave us an overall experience on how to manage time and do things in the most effective manner.

We team "Artroids" chose this project because it gave us an opportunity to explore more about the “Lucy” mission to Trojan asteroids and it also gave us an opportunity to produce our website to people in a most effective manner all information in one place.

We first had a rough discussion for making an website in order to make our project more beautiful and interactive but simple and easy to use. So our audiences does not get bored and we too have felt the need to add a FAQ section to solve the common doubts.

So our team have faced a lot of challenges we revised it multiple times to make it as interactive and as easy as we can for the audiences.
