High-Level Project Summary

We are the Oogway comics team and for this hackathon we chose the Artfully Illuminated Asteroids theme, where NASA's Lucy Trojan Asteroid Mission will explore eight asteroids in six independent orbits around the Sun to help unravel the history of the solar system. We chose this challenge because it suits us best in terms of our field of activity.Based on the data from nasa as part of the hackathon, we created a completely new comic book where we illustrated the diversity that Lucy will explore and integrated it into the story. We have also developed an interactive app, where with the help of our comic we will be able to convey to the audience the mission that Lucy will perform with a simple

Detailed Project Description

The main goal of our project is to convey to the audience the message that everyone is unique in their own way and will be able to achieve absolutely any of their goals if they believe in it and go to it. The main advantage is that we present this creative message in a scientific form, supported by the data of NASA that we studied during these 48 hours. It is worth noting that we are currently the only comic book publisher in our country that does this and makes it publicly available. By this we want to turn the consciousness of people about comics and introduce this culture to the masses. We used two wacom one graphic tablets to create the comic. The app is written using the Dart language and the Flutter SDK in the Android Studio IDE.

Hackathon Journey

A very productive 48 hours when the brains are working at maximum, when the team comes together regardless of distance because of one common thing to create a product that will make life easier for many people.

With the help of NASA data, we learned about the Lucy mission, which will be a breakthrough and will help in studying the formation of planets in our solar system. To create a story about a girl Lucy, we were inspired by Lucy's companion of the same name. And also the desire to show how the journey of two Lucy through time and space and how they achieve their intended goals.

After we have studied the necessary data of NASA, we started discussing the project. Each member of the team knew their role based on our previous experience of creating comics, we quickly came to a consensus and began to develop the project. That is, creating an interactive comic strip that will be presented on the platform as an app. We worked very hard, and we helped each other with the tasks. The only problem is time constraints, as we know we can do even better.

We would like to thank NASA for the opportunity to participate in such a hackathon and for the data they shared, and we are also grateful to American space Dushanbe, all the mentors and volunteers who helped us, in particular Nilufar, for being there all the time and responding promptly all questions.
