Lucys in the sky with astroids

High-Level Project Summary

Have you ever imagined what Lucy could discover? Well we did and we created a painting, showing the diversity of what Lucy will explore on her 12 year epic journey to the mysterious untouched Trojan astroids, hence using mixed media medium to illuminate these divers asteroids. It isn’t a typical satellite, it’s the satellite that will unravel the history of our solar system and could reshape our understanding of life as we vaguely know it.

Space Agency Data

we used info provided by NASA (links found in the references section)to come up with the dialogue for our presentations.

Hackathon Journey

as first time participants in the first space apps challenge in Lebanon we found an amazing opportunity to expand our horizon and share our common space enthusiasm, and since the challenge we chose was artistic, we felt whole and excited to represent our country on an international level through our vision and ideas.

the data was provided by NASA was most efficiently helpful in developing our design. this project taught us team collaboration, time management, how to work under pressure and respect deadlines. our respective skill set made artfully illuminated astroids the clear challenge for us. art and science are equal, mathematical formulas generates shape that construct the fundamentals of nature, and the whole universe that could be depicted on any canvas, like the Fibonacci sequence and much more. in our early research we found out the origins of "LUCY' came from the first Homosapien fossils then named the satellite Lucy that will uncover the origins of our solar system as well. we built our design on this foundation and connected the dots in order to unify our painting. In this journey we faced many setbacks but the factors that kept us going was our resilience and perseverance to complete our project. We would like to thank our local lead, volunteers and USEK Uni for supporting us through all the hardships and challenges we faced.
