What is it?

COVID19 CHASER is a phone based app that serve as educational platform that give comprehensive live data to users about covid-19. It can create a high impact on the society. We have created two apps for IOS and Android operating systems.

Why is it important?

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a dramatic loss of human life worldwide and presents an unprecedented challenge to public health, food systems and the world of work. The economic and social disruption caused by the pandemic is devastating: tens of millions of people are at risk of falling into extreme poverty, while the number of undernourished people, currently estimated at nearly 690 million, could increase by up to 132 million by the end of the year.

Also the COVID 19 test results can take a few days to a week to know , Specially In our local country takes about many days, and the testing machine were Counted by hand, They were only found in our capital city . It also need expenses. Coronavirus is spreading rapidly due to lawlessness and human fatigue.

To Prevent This Pandemic, we have to use an Innovative Technology. There fore, that COVID -19 app provides comprehensive information for users about covid-19 pandemic status, preventive protocols implementation level and also warns you when you don't keep the protocol.

What does it do?

The COVID 19 chaser app has thirteen critical functions:

1. It checks weather you are infected by COVID-19 or not. We kicks out this by using Machine learning and Artificial intelligence.

As mentioned above the COVID 19 test results can take a few days to a week , Specially In our local country takes about many days, and the testing machine were Counted by hand, They were only found in our capital city . It also need expenses. But taking An X-ray images relatively takes a minutes . Therefore people only drop and scan their images and they will be know their results with 97% accuracy.

2. A platform apps that provide warning information when you touch your face.

It is coordinated with Arduino using Connectivity extensions like Bluetooth. We called the device '''CO-WATCH' which we have created. It is like a watch and enhanced by sensors. When you throw your hand to your face The app connected to the device will give Warnings!

3. Social connection app that warn you when you don't keep COVID-19 social distance protocol. It is also connected with 'CO-WATCH' Because of the lack of an excellent Ultrasonic sensor we only build its simulation. This also warns you when you are less than 1 meter between the public.

4.A measurement App that measures your body temperature using a sensor and also displays the result on the app using different measuring units automatically and advises the user if the temperature is more than the recommended it provides a unique platform to consult doctors available and treat himself also advise to visit doctors.

5.A platform that gives live data about Covid-19 status across the globe and treatment methods for users through friendly & interactive ways. It shows Total cases, Deaths, Recovered, Actives as a country and the world. It also displays That information using Bar Graph, Line Graph, Pie Chart automatically. It is updated in intervals of 20 minutes.

6. It aware people about COVID 19 symptoms, Transmissions, preventions, How to Use Mask , When to use Mask and many other things using user-friendly and well designed interactive pages and simulations.

7. It tells users with How many peoples they contacted less than 2 meter that are registered and using this app and gives an alert.

8.Gives more knowledge about Vaccinations like :AstraZeneca, mRNA, Moderna , Pfizer-BioNTech and many others briefly from WHO.

9. Users can select any map and see COVID 19 status ,thanks for NASA Open data.

10.A platform that enables users to see FAQ/Frequently Asked Questions/ by the public.

11.That provides News from only reliable Organizations as News Feed.

12.A platform that uses real time search .

13.Provides a doctor's Consultancy page in each location. If the user feel sick he went to a symptom checker page. And provides Available Certified covid 19 doctors by the government and he can contact them by video call and sms chat algorithms.

We have been participating in NASA Space Challenge for the first time in 2021. Our hackathon journey was amazing. We learn many research skills about COVID 19. we have developing an ability to work with teams. We have also seen our ability of creating something new with in short period of time. The globe is challenged by wide spread expansion of COVID 19 and its impact on social and economic transaction of the society. There are lack of live data about COVID19 pandemic status and no means that enable individuals to measure his/her health status on time.  our team inspired to develop COVID19 chaser that serve as educational plate form about corona virus pandemic status and treatment protocol across the globe. To develop such COVID19 chaser APP, we form team that have different skills and experiences. Our team members are: Ermias alem/Elementary student /, Theodros Abere/University student/ and Getaye Biyaznlgn/University student/.The team, Andromeda , tried to develop COVID19 chaser using phone based software and hard ware. our team participating in meetings, networking with mentors and teams across the globe, giving presentations, and making friendships through the annual NASA Space Apps Challenges. This is one challenge we look forward to every year.

It has been exciting journey meeting so many people , astronauts and engineers visiting several fascinating places on the way! We hope more kids, youths, and families are inspired by our space journey.
