COVID-19: Calculate the Risk

High-Level Project Summary

This project is based on two specific factors, the use of the different information sources and creation of an app for smartphone for provide Covid-19 risk warnings. We’re going to archive in this way: we’re going to get data from the Nasa Database and other local sources like Mexican Covid-19 database and all these data will be used by us, so that we use all these in an app to provide information about what the people can do for their security and keep safe from places with problems with Covid-19. All these data will be acquired later. Also we hope to create an algorithm that calculate the risk of a person on base of their characteristics.

Detailed Project Description

What exactly does it do and What benefits does it have?

The user will be notified about the percentage of the risk to get Covid-19. The user can get updated information about Covid-19 cases in its locality. The user can give his information to improve the app algorithm and get the information about other users to help them into their decision making.

How does it work?

The method consists in four steps:

1.- Get the data from the sources about the different cases of Covid-19 in cities or different places.

2.- Use the data in the app for show a map of cases of Covid-19 in your city.

3.- Get the data from the customers about their physical characteristics and diseases.

4.- Apply the algorithm to create a calculator that tells the people what their risk in base of the physical characteristics and diseases.

What do you hope to achieve?

We hope to help the people to know the high risk places, and so we help them to in their decision making

What tools we will use?

1.- Android studio.

2.- COVID-19 Dashboard.

by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University (JHU).

3.- Covid-19 CONACYT.
