COmation

High-Level Project Summary

The application provides information about covid 19 like risks, how to avoid them (type of masks, statistics, recommendation, vaccine), the impact of COVID-19 on the environment, donate Plasma which is connecting COVID-19 patients and the patients recently recovered from COVID-19 willing to donate their plasma for effective treatment and also a covid calculator. The application requires a location for the spread of COVID-19 in the user’s area and temperature.

Detailed Project Description

The app involves the use of risk warning models as smartphone applications to advise users of their COVID risk; e.g., the application provides the user with geolocated COVID-19 risk, which could guide individual decisions regarding what to wear (type of mask), which locations to avoid if possible (e.g, dining, social and sports gatherings), social distancing measures, donate Plasma which is connecting COVID-19 patients and the patients recently recovered from COVID-19 willing to donate their plasma for effective treatment.and other exposure control measures.

It can provide individualized and geographically specific warnings about the risks of COVID-19 to guide social awareness, response, and health security.

You look at the places where the virus is spreading, the country it’s in, the type of mask he’s supposed to wear in the place, pictures of the virus situation, and the end-all of that is met with an update.

The first page of the app involves symptoms and maps where covid 19 spread. The second has prevention, in terms of elaborate how to avoid infection. The third contains statistics. After that, the fourth has information about COVID-19 in the user's country. The fifth has information in terms of questions and answers. The last page has a Covid calculator.

We used dart language and Flutter ( android studio) to achieve the whole application. We used some applications in design like Adobe Photoshopped cc.

Space Agency Data

As we made a mobile application about covid-19; specially about risks, vaccine, statistics of it, donate plasma and how to avoid infection, we used space agency data to help us to collect data in our project.

we used the resources to provide the application with the requirements of the challenge like the type of masks, how we wear and wash it.

We used resources such as https://earthdata.nasa.gov/learn/articles/sedac-covid-19-viewer

To elaborate Spread of COVID-19 on map.

The resources and data from NACA’s website helped us. First , we knew what the form of the application should be like. In addition to the form of statistics of the deaths and cases.

we knew the right way to make the application. Furthermore ,Some other resources that we used are like find a COVID-19 Vaccine: Search vaccines. Text patient’s ZIP code to 438829 or call 1-800-232-0233 to find locations near him in the U.S. NACA’s links provides us information about how to avoid infection, too. They were very important to us!

Hackathon Journey

It was one of the greatest experiences I’ve ever had. We gained new experiences and we learned a lot of skills from each other. I can’t forget how every member of the team was work and how we were cooperating. Even though we were working hard, it was fun for us to work with each other. And then I made new friends.

All of us tried to learn more about Dart language from different sources before starting our project as we all have experience in programming. In addition to learning more about programming, I learned how to work in a team working and how to benefit from the skills of each member of the team. As I mentioned Everyone learned a skill from the other ( patience, persistence, hard-working collaboration, …… etc ).

This experience has had a positive effect on me. In terms of the experience and skills, I have learned, learning the programming language which will benefit me in G11 capstone as we are a student in STEM school and also, in terms of the good friends I made who will help me to be better.

Our love for programming and codes is the object that pushed us to enter the competition and this challenge. Also, Our desire to learn new experiences and skills pushed us. Most of the time we try to develop ourselves by joining competitions and student activities like that. We have chosen to do a mobile application, and especially we have chosen the topic of Covid-19 because of what the world is facing today from the danger of this virus. So, we wanted to help people learn more about this virus through our project.

We have a plan to develop the app as we will add a section that the doctor can connect with the users and The patients, Those who have recovered share their experiences. We will measure blood pressure and use artificial intelligence to make an X-ray as soon as possible.

in my opinion, hard work and insistence are the approaches to develop anything. We distributed the work to us and therefore the work was quite easier. Team working was one of the factors that helped us. Our objective is to make it easier for people to know information about the virus.

surly, we faced challenges and setbacks. And I don’t call it a failure. Failure is not facing challenges and giving in to them. So, we tried to face this challenge and we succeed to overcome it With persistence and many attempts.
