High-Level Project Summary
COVIDPARTNERS APP predicts an individual's risk of getting COVID-19 depending on specific characteristics such as geolocation by state, age, or sex. Also indicates the incidence in the development of depression or anxiety due to COVID-19 in their state and, if necessary, directs them to mental health services. Solves the challenge because provides to the user real-time data and updates of the disease, links the user to global databases and health services, and most importantly raises awareness for local prevention and care against COVID-19 infection. The app uses Microsoft Azure services.

Detailed Project Description
COVIDPARTNERS APP built-in JavaScript, React and NodeJS predicts an individual's risk of getting COVID-19 depending on specific characteristics such as geolocation by state, age, or sex. The app uses as a resource the COVID-19 Viewer at NASA's SEDAC as well as CDC databases to obtain data on deaths by state, by age, and by sex and to be able to provide an estimate of suffering from covid and being hospitalized based on the location and user data. Also as it has Indicators-of-Anxiety-or-Depression CDC data, indicates the incidence in the development of depression or anxiety due to COVID-19 in their state and, if necessary, directs them to mental health services. It is important to mention that for the development of this prototype data and figures from the USA were used but it is planned in the future to use meteorological data and deaths or incidence of COVID-19 cases in Mexico and its 32 states.
Our goal is to provide a great user experience of our app through the following objectives
- Easy download and installation.
- Friendly and intuitive user interface.
- Real-time data and info updates.
- Provide a link to global health services and databases.
- Raise awareness about prevention and care against COVID-19 infection.
For this, we plan in the future to carry out the following actions and improvements:
- Make alliances with Mexican institutions to obtain data on deaths and hospitalizations due to COVID-19 as well as environmental data related to the spread of the virus.
- Allow users to register, save their information and establish personalized recommendations through notifications based on environmental conditions, expand our database and feed the app with those data to make increasingly accurate predictions and recommendations.
- Get seed funding for Azure service uses, on-premises infrastructure, and staff (developers, designers, data analysts, etc.) through private investors and public institutions.

Space Agency Data
We used and were inspired by the COVID-19 Viewer at NASA's SEDAC as well as CDC databases to obtain data on deaths by state, by age, and by sex and to be able to provide an estimate of suffering from covid and being hospitalized based on the location and user data.
Hackathon Journey
We enjoyed participating in the NASA Space Apps Challenge. The challenge of making an app using NASA resources helped us strengthen our teamwork, problem-solving, organization, communication, and time management skills. We were also able to explore our creativity to find solutions to current problems, both globally and locally relevant.
We thank Innovacción Virtual for providing us with the platform and the necessary resources to be able to develop this project.
