Covid Tracker is an application that gathers epidemiological, social, political and geographic data with the objective of raising awareness among the population, promoting access to information, relating data and facilitating research, thus trying to reduce the number of cases of COVID-19 in the world. The app provides specific warnings for each type of user, based on their health status (comorbidities, vaccinations) and location (weather, political situation). In addition, it is possible to access news about the pandemic and report in a practical way situations of crowding close to the user, which is motivated by a reward system and help in health security.
Upon registration, the user fills out a short questionnaire providing information such as comorbidities, vaccination and frequent locations.
On the "Home" tab, the user can consult quantitative data through graphs on the Dashboard, which, when clicked, show more information. On this same tab, there are Warnings - information based on the country's climate and political situation - and Notifications - information based on the user's comorbidities. Still in the "Home", there is the button "I'm infected!", which, when clicked, notifies other users who visited the same places as the infected one.
In the "Map" tab, the user can see areas at risk of contagion and vaccination posts, in addition to being able to report nearby agglomerations.
In the "News" tab, you can find updates on the pandemic situation on the spot.
In the "Profile" tab, the user can see their information and the Rewards system. This system would serve as an incentive for agglomeration reports and for sharing the app, because these actions give points that can be exchanged for prizes at partner companies.
The Canadian Space Agency Resources were used to build the dashboard graphics on the home tab.
The NASA-Earth Data-GIOVANNI was used to analyze the influence of climate on virus proliferation, which was important in the Warnings part.
The NASA-SEDAC (Socioeconomic data and applications center) was used to analyze the level of development of countries and acquire socioeconomic and political data, in order to establish a parallel with the pandemic in the Warnings part.
We started the event a little insecure with the amounts of data, excess of ideas and the feeling of not knowing what we were going to do.
However, over the course of the event, we learned several tools and methods that helped us find a way to a solution, such as unraveling the problem first and then thinking of a solution.
With a clearer goal, we were able to focus on realizing our app in a collaborative way. In addition, we had the primary help of the monitors in the process, who induced us to research and improve our ideas.
Overall, the journey was quite intense and tiring, but it has a very rewarding end, we were very satisfied with our final result and we felt that we left more complete than when we arrived.

This project has been submitted for consideration during the Judging process.
COVID-19 continues to be a global problem even though vaccination efforts are underway to control its propagation. Your challenge is to use environmental data and other information (such as epidemiological, social, policy, and economic data) to build a smartphone application that provides individualized, geolocated, COVID-19 risk warnings to guide social awareness, response, and health security.
