High-Level Project Summary
We the members of team Maranata have created an app known as Covic which will help the user to know about the spread of coronavirus all around the world. The main purpose of the app is to make the user aware about the spread of novel coronavirus around him or her and all around the world. Our team has created a simple app and an easy accessible app which is user friendly. We are providing data related to death rates , active cases , recovery rates etc. This app is based on android ( operating system). We will like to add some more features to the app. Our main moto behind this app is to help the world fight against coronavirus with the help of awareness.

Detailed Project Description
our team has tried to create an app called Covic, which helps to tell the risk about the chances of user being infected from the disease. It is a user friendly easy-to-understand application that can be downloaded on android and android emulators. The app works in a simple way, just search for the location you are looking for, and it directs you to the location and gives information about the following:
*Active cases in the area
*Number of people out 1000 who get infected
*Number of people out of 10000 infected who die
*People out of 100 infected who recover
For now we can only provide complete data for Quezon City, Manila, Philippines. in future we plan to extend our resources, data and information for other countries while as well we also look forward to provide updates for each area and country. We are also looking forward to add briefings, Important announcements and vaccination centers in future updates.
This is our website: https://winterfrostine20plihr.wixsite.com/my-site
Importance of our Project:
In today's era where COVID-19 has become one of the most unpredictable diseases, where you cannot tell what is safe and what is not, our app provides a hint of the safety of the environment around you. It tells you about how many people in the area are infected out of a selected number of people which gives the user an idea about what precautions and at what amount will they have to take.
To be able to understand how safe our surroundings are we are supposed to know how is our social well-being, the well being of the people around us. Once we know how many people are infected around us we will be able to understand the precautions required.
Methodology of the project:
Once you search for the place you are looking for in the search bar, the app directs you to the location. A drawer is added below that gives information about :
*Active cases in the area
*Number of people out 1000 who get infected
*Number of people out of 10000 infected who die
*People out of 100 infected who recover

NoTE: Our app currently only shows the data for only a few countries in Philippines and contains hard-coded information. The place search doesn't work correctly due to an error in being able to access the place search API key from Google Maps. In fore future we look forward to improve this feature as well.
Space Agency Data
We have browsed the misleading sources and information on the NASA website, and they have provided us with strong information and clear information that helps in creating a database to clarify the world’s position on the Corona virus, and to clarify the places of spread, including clarification of infection rates in terms of risk and exposure of citizens to infection, as well as clarifying the most widespread places of the epidemic and knowledge Places of vaccination and this data is updated weekly to find out what is new in the surrounding place.
we also used nasa's CSV to get information. And other information from nasa.gov
Hackathon Journey
This hackathon has been a big experience for all of us, the members of our team. There were a lot of ups and downs that we had to face during the hole time-period. The greatest challenge for us was to create a complete full-flashed team. There were a whole lot of obstacles that came in our way and a lot of heartbreaking events that left the team in panic. Firstly, the mammoth task of recruiting team members was accomplished. We had 6 team members from all over the world and from each different and specific field.
Due to linguistic barriers we had to lose two important members of our team again a mammoth task to find a coder and a data analyst. We finally found another coder who joined our team but later left the team due to age issues. And after which followed another team member, a coder, who left the team after a g-meet, due to linguistic barriers again. After this another member of our team wanted to leave the team but our team decided to use translator and communicate in the native language of the team member.
Later we found the two missing pieces of the puzzle. A coder and a data analyst who stayed by our side till the end of the hackathon.
We all are now in touch through different accounts and are looking forward to stay in touch and work on the project even after the hackathon.

Through my participation I can say that it was a unique experience to deal with colleagues from all over the world and then be on a team, it was a very useful experience for me and the spirit of teamwork that shows the love of science and the desire to benefit and protect humanity, in addition to taking advantage of the new information I read, as well as the tasks that have been carried out from me, all of which have benefited me a lot, and this tour is a wonderful kind of work The group that gives many gains, such as: experience, understanding problems, how to think, choosing the right solution, working to implement it, insight into the planet and the risks and problems it faces and trying to reach the right solution as soon as possible.

My Hackathon journey was really good and exciting. This journey has given me an experience which can be life long useful. I was grateful to work with my team members and i appreciate their cooperation with me and at last i will like to thank NASA for organizing such events.

Space apps hackathon is a lovely experience. This was my second time I participated in this hackathon and it is so wonderful to work on new ideas and challenges. Since I am the 'open to new experiences' type of person, space apps is really enjoyable for me. I get to know a whole lot of great people. Most of the people I meet are from high-schools and colleges which inspires me to work a lot harder. I am a passionate helper i.e. I LOVE to help. And knowing that by participating in the hackathon I can create an impact on the world even though at least a little but I will be able to help and that will be enough for me.
To help. To create an impact.

This is my first time joining the event and I am very glad I did, despite knowing that college will surely take up some of my time. I've always thought that I had problems with my social interaction skills, this event seemed to prove it wrong, I was able to interact with my teammates without too much issue. I joined a great team, with passionate members and share a common interest, to learn as much as we can. I am very grateful for this event as it not only helped me learn not just additional skills and knowledge, it also helped me learn more about myself.

Through this journey of hackathon I learn about new technology and skill for me it's lot.
