High-Level Project Summary
Mask Up is a project designed by a team of Ghanaian teenages who seek to solve the problem of overcrowding and ineffective collection of data for contact tracing in the African continent during the Coronavirus Pandemic. Overcrowding is a major challenge in Africa leading to ever increasing poor hygienic practices and physical contact violating social distancing protocols outlined by the WHO. Our application implements A.I specifically computer vision to monitor humans in public places, identify each person, track the movement and keep logs of the physical proximity for social distancing. it supports a backend to log suspected coronavirus patients and suspected victims for contact tracing

How it works:
The Project uses the Computer Vision, YOLO algorithm and the coco data set for pedestrian detection and tracking
The app with the help of cctv camera check the proximity of individuals and when individual are too close together
the app sends and silent but irritating vibration to the individuals involved.
It also does the contract tracing through almost the same method expect this time,
when the info of a covid patient is given the app uses cctv cameras to track the covid patient past location and those who came into less then 1m proximity to the covid patient is flagged as a suspect and is also tracked , All this information is stored database for future reference
The Covid 19 case tracker runs on a javascript framework called React ,the app takes data from a JSON rest api then parses it down and the required information is shown on the app. The Self Diagnosis runs on the CDC self checker system which is designed to the fitting of the app.

Our space app experience was quite challenging and entertaining ,through this space app the we learnt how to create and save your own tensorflow model and other algorithms ,
How social distancing is done in my country is actually quite outdated and bad, because those responsible for contract tracing in my country risk their life finding suspects of covid patient ,
so we decided to make a software that does all this problems can be solve without any one risking his or her life
