High-Level Project Summary
The Covid-19 pandemic is still killing tens of thousands of people around the world. Although vaccines already exist, they are either not available to all people, or even after being vaccinated, a person can become infected with other strains of the coronavirus. Based on this, it does not matter whether a person is vaccinated or not, people need to follow the rule of personal hygiene and other health requirements to prevent the spread of the Covid-19.Thus, our team decided to create a mobile application that will help people receive correct information about the Covid-19, symptoms, prevention methods, and also notify them about possible infection threats.

Detailed Project Description

At the moment, our team has created a prototype of this application.
On the first tab of the application, users can get reliable information about Covid-19, infection and death statistics from reputable sources like WHO and the Johns Hopkins Institute website.
Further, in the second tab, the application will request the user's location and analyzing the location with the database, the application notifies the person about places with an increased risk of Covid infection and gives advice on precautions. The application will use data from Google Maps as well as data entered manually into the database to alert users and risk.
The third tab of the application is aimed at raising public awareness about ways to prevent Covid-19, possible symptoms of the disease and advice in case of infection with the virus.
It should also be noted that the interface of the application is pleasant and user-friendly, which will facilitate the work of users.
In the future, more sophisticated algorithms can be introduced into the application that will work with large amounts of data, which will increase the accuracy of the calculation of Covid-19 infection.
To develop a prototype for this application, we used tools such as Figma and Adobe Illustrator. To develop the application itself, Android Studio will be used using the programming languages Javascript, Kotlin and Python
Space Agency Data
For our application, we mainly used data from the Johns Hopkins Institute and COVID Data Tracker so that users can receive reliable information.
Hackathon Journey
This is the first time we participate in such a hackathon and we are absolutely delighted. You can feel the atmosphere of creativity in which you can create something new.
We would like to thank the team of organizers of this Hackathon and, in particular, our local leads Nilufar Muradova, for the fact that she tolerated us so much and was always with us)
