Covid-19 Go Away

High-Level Project Summary

In this project, our team has developed a wireframe and an idea for the creation of a COVID calculator smartphone application. Unfortunately due to some lack of knowledge in creating a workable prototype and algorithm, there is no final project of workable code that can be used in reality. First of all, this project provided a solution that can solve the challenge by giving a suitable and best solution based on each risk score obtained from the calculator in order to ensure that the transmission of COVID can be controlled when there are people following it. This is solution is very important in order to provide the best suggestion of knowledge to take necessary measures at all times.

Detailed Project Description

This project will provide the best guidance to the user on how to protect themselves from the Covid-19. Moreover, there will be suggestions for users based on the risk score obtained for each individual in order to have suitable measures in encountering the COVID and have better confidence when an individual is tested positive.

Calculations:

First of all, we will be gathering information about the users such as age, gender, location, symptoms that occurs in the user's body. The current condition of the user, some behavior that frequently has, and also what happened in the previous 14 days.

Next, there will be a fixed score for each component such as Gender, Age, Symptoms, and so on, where the user filled.

After all, the components are being filled and the user clicks on the ‘Calculate My Risk’ button.

Environmental factors such as temperature and humidity will also be considered.

Each environmental factor will also have a certain score for The system will sum up all the scores of each component.

Benefits:

This project is will be effective in providing real-time information and data about the risk of COVID in all zone and providing an accurate and consistent for users in order to ensure the usability of suggestions for each user.

This project will also be able to provide suitable suggestions and guidance to encounter the COVID effectively.

Hope:

We hope that this smartphone application would be able to encounter COVID effectively by giving suitable suggestions and guidance for all users to ensure that they acquire the knowledge to face the problem of the risk score obtained from the smartphone calculator.

Space Agency Data

We didn't use any space agency data.

Hackathon Journey

In this Space Apps Experience, we learned about the importance of teamwork especially in completing all the works as without teamwork a lonely driver will not be able to complete it within the given time. This is because an individual will have their limit in completing all tasks as there is no one born perfect in this world. Each individual will also have their weaknesses in every task as different people have their strengths.

Moreover, we also learned about the importance of analytic skills and knowledge applications as there is a need for data analytics skills in creating a suitable algorithm in order to calculate the risk effectively. However, due to the lack of data analytics skills, we are unable to create an algorithm. Therefore, this shines the importance of data analytics skills in this challenge.

Furthermore, the increase of COVID cases from day to day has inspired our team in choosing this challenge in order to provide our idea as a contribution in reducing the daily cases that occur globally today. Therefore, as one of the humans living on earth, we have the responsibility of proposing our solution to boost the reduction of cases that happened worldwide.

Our approach for this project is to make a brief idea on how to solve this challenge, we have made a wireframe on how our mobile application will look like.

We have also faced several setbacks and challenges during the whole event, however, as a team we solved it step by step with the contribution from each member and also some discussion in order to solve all the challenges and setbacks one step at a time.

I would like to thank the NASA Space Apps event for providing a chance for us to gain experience as this is the first time for joining an event such as this hackathon. This event also allowed us to get a chance in knowing our weaknesses and what should we do to improve them in order to be more competitive in the competition.
