High-Level Project Summary
We developed an application that basically tracks covid cases and is a health warning system that provides alerts daily about cases and tier status and it provides a risk factor(based on county). It solves the challenge by providing information to the user about risks involved with covid-19. This is important because it allows the user to understand the situation that is going on around them.

Detailed Project Description
Our program is supposed to inform users on covid related statistics, risk levels, the required safety precautions you should abide by according to your risk level. The risk level is different for each county that you are in. It works by having the user input their zip code, which will be converted into information that an API can take so that it can detect what county you are in and then informing you of all the relevant safety information that you should know about in your county. It keeps you informed and aware of the risk level in your county and provides you with all relevant information regarding COVID-19 that could affect you. To allow the population to be more aware of their surroundings and safety in regards to COVID-19. We used android studio, the java coding language, and our computers.
Space Agency Data
We viewed sources and we found some sites that were similar, such as the API which sends a request to a database and in return get a JSON file that contains information that another API uses to get the locational information of the user.
Hackathon Journey
Our experience was very fun but stressful, it challenged us to the very end. We learned how to use API's, how to create apps on Android studio, and how to design the UI for the app. Our team was inspired to choose this challenge because we thought that it was something important and thought that it would be a good idea since we haven't really seen an app like that. Our approach to developing this project was by designing the interface at first, but we realized that we needed to work on the functionality so we pivoted to focusing on working on the functionality. We tacked setbacks and challenges head-on and tried everything that we knew to fix it.
