High-Level Project Summary
The COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread and the main reason behind this is the lack of awareness of people regarding the risk of contracting the virus. This is where the Covid Oracle project comes into play. We tried to make information concerning the risk of contacting the COVID-19 virus at the user's given location by analyzing epidemiological data accessible as well as notifying the users about this risk in real-time. The application also provides necessary suggestions depending on the level of risk, for example, what kind of mask to wear.

Detailed Project Description
The project currently uses epidemiological data of different regions of the world to calculate the amount of risk of contacting the COVID-19 virus. In order to calculate the risk factor, we analyzed the historical daily infection rate of a particular region and used the average of all the local maxima as the baseline for that region. Depending on this risk factor, we provide the user with appropriate suggestions to protect him/herself like what kind of mask to wear. The application also contains an interactive map that colour codes different regions depending on how much risk of COVID-19 transmission they possess. This map is currently operational for Bangladesh and 50 US states but we plan to expand its reach in future. We also provide the uses easy access to NASA's harvest portal where they can get necessary information regarding the covid-19 pandemic like the travel restrictions. Lastly, the app is able to alert the user through a notification that will make him/her aware of the risk factor.
