High-Level Project Summary
'Glitter to Null Void' as suggested by the name, we are trying to make the people aware of the value of earth observation. We have chosen the satellite mission TEMPO (which will be launch in November 2022). In our project, we discuss, the new data that can retrieve from TEMPO,instances where decision-makers can use that data, the decisions that could make using them, and the benefits of using these satellite data.We bring up those points under four instances. In each instance, we have considered past similar scenarios to make our imagined instances more credible.

Detailed Project Description
In our project, we have considered the,
- Instruments of TEMPO
- New data that can be retrieved by TEMPO
- Possible incidents where such data could be useful
- Potential decision that could be made.
- Benefits of those decisions
We present four imagined cases for 'possible incidents where data from tempo can be useful'. We have gathered information about similar incidents where such data have been used and we used them to make our imagined cases more credible.
And when considering the benefits, we compared the decisions that could make with satellite data vs without satellite data. So value of earth observation can be identified clearly.
Space Agency Data
Data from Tropospheric Emissions: Monitoring of Pollution(TEMPO) website.
From this site, we used information about instruments, data, mission overview, and early adopters.
For data about air pollution and ozone smog, the video; "the quality of air:story of three cities" was used. It was taken from the TEMPO-public outreach.
Data from Space for U.S were used to confirm realistic nature of the incidents we described in our project.
Hackathon Journey
The most challenging part of the hackathon was the time. It was very challenging to manage time, to complete the full task in 48 hours.
And another main challenge we had to face was the availability of too much information. It was very hard to go through each website to process the necessary information.
When we started the challenge we didn't know much about the benefits of earth observation. So we thought that the public also may not be familiar with the value of earth observation. That's why we choose this challenge. During the challenge, we had quite an enjoyable time while learning about the value of earth observation by ourselves.
This was the first-ever hackathon experience for all of us. But we enjoyed it a lot. Indeed this was a happy hackathon!
