High-Level Project Summary
According to the requirements of the challenge, thanks to a deep investigation we identified a real application in which the information provided by the satellites is used to protect the Peruvian Amazon, an innovative and revolutionary method was designed and implemented to be able to make all decisions, measure the benefit that these generate in the communities and the environment.To meet these objectives, cutting-edge technology was used from advanced image processing algorithms and predictive systems with Artificial Intelligence. The development of this innovative technique to effectively take advantage of satellite information will allow more efficient conservation of the Amazon.

Detailed Project Description
In this project, we focus on one of the main environmental problems of Peru and South America, and this is the deforestation of the Amazon, the first part is a detailed description of the context and problems, in addition to the decisions of local leaders to protect the jungle and the benefit they generated. From this information, we develop innovative techniques to measure the social and environmental benefit when using prevention techniques with satellite technologies compared to traditional techniques, and second, we develop an efficient decision-making method. Both are developed with cutting-edge techniques, advanced image processing algorithms, predictive artificial intelligence systems, and machine learning.
The innovation we propose is that decision-making does not depend only on the criteria of the responsible leader, but thanks to artificial intelligence, the system automatically generates specific suggestions for each situation, including future projections of how it should be done to improve the affected regions, that is, these techniques allow us to predict the outcome of a protection decision before it is executed and therefore, for leaders, it will be much easier and more practical to deploy their resources. On the other hand, for the measurement of social and environmental benefits, machine learning techniques are used to combine information from maps of biodiversity, air quality, and others.
As described above, the benefits of these avant-garde techniques are many, and we hope that responsible organizations will be able to use this resource so that our Amazon can finally be preserved and protected after so long. Another important aspect is that this technique will also help in the fight against drug trafficking, coca leaf cultivation, and illegal mining.
Finally, in order to develop the demo of the program, standard web technologies HTML5, CSS, JavaScript were used in the React JS framework, although the development of artificial intelligence is python.

Our group has always had in mind the improvement and fight against the deforestation of the Amazon, as being a serious issue worldwide there are still many people who only see the economic side without giving importance to the care of the environment, we have always had in mind that these forests emit a lot of oxygen as well as have and protect a variety of species of flora and fauna and in many cases endangered species.
Having this idea as a base, we continued with the research on the different satellites that help to monitor areas where deforestation has a great impact, for this reason, we decided to look for documentation, from which we had as a base a Brazilian case where with the help of satellites provided by NASA (Aqua Terra, Land 5 and Land 7) we could monitor the affected areas in the forests of Brazil, being this way our initial source to continue with our idea of change and help for the society in general.
Hackathon Journey
We ¨DIODE¨ had as an initiative the creation of this project to contribute to society, but we had a focus more on the side of the Amazon and the deterioration that continues to occur because of the indiscriminate deforestation of trees. This problem affects the flora and fauna of the Amazon and also affects society, indirectly destroying the culture of the population.
We were interested in this topic in order to look for alternative solutions and to present our ideas so that they could be accepted and so that we could help the Amazonian population with our selfless help.
When we heard about the Space Apps Challenge, we decided to apply and to make our way to make our ideas known through this platform, we also feel that this experience will be a pleasant one.
In this experience, we were able to use our skills, and these skills helped us to be able to raise and seek solutions to every doubt that arose, which is how we were able to put our ideas and knowledge into practice and to be able to carry out our work among all the members of the group.
Grateful for this experience, we hope that our project of ideas will be useful for the population in general.
