High-Level Project Summary
Every year our planet witnesses several devastating natural calamities that cause great sufferings to mankind and loss to life and property. But what if we may be able to predict an appropriate solution to these catastrophes by using tools of data science and mathematics? This is what this project exactly aims to do. The project aims to analyze the data on natural calamities from several nations across the globe that we encountered in recent past. Then using mathematical tools we may use the analyzed data to devise a feasible solution that will help us in tackling such disaster or at least contribute in lessening the havoc caused by them. Such a solution may even help us in future scenarios.

Detailed Project Description
The project is a web based application that is presented to individuals in the form of an interactive map. By clicking on a country, one will be able to explore the analyzed data on the natural calamities encountered by the respective country.
NOTE: The project is still under development so we have note listed country wise analyzed data for some countries. In such cases rather we have made use of common data available on a worldwide scale. The country wise analysis will be made available in near future.
Tools and Technologies used:
- Language-Python (Anaconda)
- Python libraries- Numpy, Pandas, Folium, Scipy, Statistics, Matplotlib
- Jupyter Notebook
- HTML
- Git and Github
- OS-Linux
- Text Editor-Atom
Space Agency Data
We made use of geospatial data provided by NASA to make datasets and analyze the same.
Hackathon Journey
The journey in hackathon was great and it helped me in getting acquainted with new tools in manipulation of geospatial data using python libraries and getting myself better at it. Also helped me in framing a solution that may help in betterment of man kind in near future.
