High-Level Project Summary

We live in an age where data can be of great importance, we just have to know how to manipulate it in order to take advantage of it.Thanks to NISAR it is possible to have images, data and endless information necessary to be able to train an artificial intelligence that serves to predict environmental variables with which we can help farmers to improve and take care of their plantations.

Detailed Project Description

Use Nisar to help farmers care for and improve their crops


1) Use the Nisar satellite to collect information

2) Create a dataframe with this information and analyze it

3) Use a neural network to be able to make predictions of different variables

4) Use these results to generate a solution

5) Make a solution with this data

Hackathon Journey

First the group met in the event chat, we were from different careers but with a common goal (an architect, a software engineer, a mechatronics and an electronics).

First we had to choose a challenge that all of us can contribute, then we selected the challenge of Measuring the Value of Earth Observations since with this we can combine our skills.

Despite the time zone we met several times in these exciting days, exchanging ideas, dreams, goals and as always the laughter was not lacking.

In order to develop the idea, we first did an analysis of the abilities of each one, for example:

Julio has experience in AI.

Fernanda helped in the selection of images and topographic elements necessary to develop the dataset.

Richard and Ana are geniuses at interface design.



At the end of this day we learned a lot, how to understand our ideas and despite knowing each other for only a few days we have achieved a good friendship.
