Earth observation

High-Level Project Summary

Earth observation is the use of remote sensing technologies to monitor large areas of lands, seas, and atmosphere to gather information about Earth’s physical, chemical, and biological systems. The Earth observation is the use of remote sensing technologies to monitor large areas of lands, seas, And atmosphere to gather information about Earth’s physical, chemical, and biological systems. The fundamental differences of EO technologies depend on whether the data is collected through a passive or an active remote sensing system.

Detailed Project Description

Active remote sensing is a satellite sends energy to Earth and then measures the energy received back from the Earth’s surface or atmosphere. Commonly used active sensors include radar and laser technologies. There are two types of radar-based systems that are used for satellite-based microwave imaging:

-Real Aperture Radar (RAR)

-Synthetic-Aperture Radar (SAR)

This method of earth observation represents major progress compared to traditional data collection methods. With this information, for example, pollution abatement efforts can be focused on areas where exposure is highest. Thus, we can stop the spread of air pollution in a faster time without wasting time in places where it does not exist, and make the right decisions to prevent its spread in more places.

Space Agency Data

we used data from NASA and the European space agency. We used it to get information about the documented uses of satellites

, get a picture of the world's Air Pollution.

Hackathon Journey

I can describe it as amazing, I worked with a team that I had never seen before and we did everything we could to complete the competition, I learned from it teamwork and I learned to get the best out of it in the shortest time and work under pressure. We chose this challenge after we did searches To make sure that this challenge was good for us and one of the members can make animation videos, so we decided to make a video to solve the challenge facing us. we faced some problems because the time was short, but we were able to solve them while working with each other and working as an integrated team, and not giving up. I want to thank my entire team for their hard work
