Detailed Project Description
Introduction
NASA is returning to the moon in 2024 (ARTEMIS PLAN). You have to help the crew to land safely.
It's a 2D game where the player control a moon lander to try to land successfully and void hotting floating meteoroids in the space. Taking too much damage will result in failing the mission.

How to Play
Use arrow keys to control the lander. Avoid hitting floating meteoroids. The goal is to land successfully on the surface of the moon
Development
I have developed this game in Unity engine and I used C# to script game logic
Future Plans
I'm planning to add more gameplay elements such as more threats, more planets each with a unique atmosphere, more advanced lander ships that the player can unluck with advanced capabilities. I will also polish the quality level and make it more fun.
Space Agency Data
I didn't use space data since it's a video game. However, I have read NASA Artemis plan PDF and used the name of the mission and the dates in the game lure (in the starting instructions menu)
Hackathon Journey
It was an amazing experience and a lot of fun. I have learned a lot during the hackathon about Artemis mission and other NASA future plans. Also, I heave met amazing like minded people and great mentors.
The planetary lander project attracted me the most since I'm a game developer. So I wanted to develop a simple game prototype to participate.
It was a lot of pressure but a rewarding and learning experience!
