Make the world know yourself

High-Level Project Summary

Did you know that with melting ice and the number of polar bears alive, there are 79 years to go before its extinction? And with it, 30% of the planet's species are at risk due to global warming Against this, the AÇAÍ team created EARTHLIFE. Earth Life is a platform that will use the satellite monitoring with biodiversity information systems to generate accessible analysis and knowledge of biomes, in addition to simulating future environmental situations and provide mitigating proposals to decision makers for the sake of keeping ecosystems alive and, our friend bear, safe. Make the world know yorself.

Detailed Project Description

EarthLife is a platform that will use the satellite monitoring with biodiversity information systems to generate accessible analysis and knowledge of biomes, in addition to simulating future environmental situations and provide mitigating proposals to decision makers for the sake of keeping ecosystems alive and, our friend bear, safe.

Predicting the life span of our animals, based on climatic and physical data from the biome, acquired in real time, is essential to promote compensatory measures in the environment and thus avoid the extinction of our species.

The lack of an intuitive platform for disseminating these data with real-time monitoring has resulted in insufficient government actions to maintain the balance of the ecosystem on planet Earth. Thus, our mission is to seek relevant and current data on the planet's biomes, carry out linear regressions and retroanalysis and apply them to climate models, resulting in specific data on the quality and lifespan of species, promoting knowledge accessible to society and to decision makers for the formulation of public policies relevant to the environment and which mitigating and compensatory measures should be implemented.

Hackathon Journey

The Hackathon experience was dynamic and favored the acquisition of knowledge and data so that we could develop viable solutions to a current problem with a great impact on the perpetuation of species on planet Earth. Our identification with the theme was due to the great climatic changes taking place in the world, which despite occurring silently and almost undetectable when isolated, have cumulative effects with major consequences on the environment. The approach used was data collection and processing, directing the variables with direct influence on each species within blocks for climate change modeling and subsequent statistical analysis,
