High-Level Project Summary
For users to stay alert on what is happening on a global basis, the GeoClimate App is software that will provide climate view services for all users in Saudi Arabia. The application will provide a detailed climate view of the globe, updated alerts of the user’s current location, and any precautions one needs to take to stay safe. Unlike the current ways of maintaining increasing awareness on climate change, our product will provide an approach to increasing the importance of climate change awareness on an individualistic level, which will eventually regulate the behaviors and reduce illnesses and deaths on a global level.

Hackathon Journey
This journey was very fruitful for us. Although we faced some great challenges and lack of resources such as time, we were able to come together and heavily brainstorm to come up with a tool that will serve the challenge we signed up for!
As we started off with team selection, we took some time to select the candidates to fulfill the roles needed for this project. Moreover, we were utilizing the resources, seeking help from mentors, and formulating our direction until September 30th where we had a clearer view of direction. After that, we divided the tasks amongst us, and we were set to work the entire day on October 1st and the first half of October 2nd.
We created a prototype that will closely bring our solution to real life and for the judges to understand our approach. In addition to the prototype, we created this thorough document to serve each aspect of our application from the introduction of our objectives, to the requirements needed.
Finally, our journey in this competition is a great opportunity to learn and gain experience from our teammates. We learnt a lot from NASA’s data which helped us to further widen our imagination in the competition. Our team was inspired by similar applications which allowed us to combine everything that users need in a single app. In the end, we would like to warmly thank NASA and the SSC for allowing us this great opportunity to join the SpaceApps hackathon.
