Detailed Project Description
Cosmic rays pose a health hazard to astronauts and polar air travelers, affect the electro-chemistry of Earth’s upper atmosphere, and may help trigger lightning.
Cosmic Ray Alarm's, An website to alert residents of mountainous regions, the North, South Poles and astronauts of cosmic radiation when it exceeds the normal limit, which may cause malfunctions in electronic devices and also affect human health.
Cosmic radioactive pollution is often higher than the North Pole, Antarctica, and in high areas, on airplanes, and on astronauts
Our website is a link to the observed radiation data from NASA and its governmental agencies
On this website so that the website sends a warning in the event of an increase in the amount of radiation on Earth
Green means safety
Orange color means close to the level of danger
Red color means danger.
Safe precautions must be taken
Our future plans:
We aim to link the website in hospitals and factories by placing an angstrom pyrheliometer to measure the amount of radiation in those areas and issuing warnings to its workers to take safe health precautions
We also aim to alert the times of interesting natural phenomena such as the aurora borealis and to monitor the solar wind indicators
We aim to turn the website into an application on smartphones
1- Hospital and factory service
2- Alarm service for the timing and locations of the aurora
3- Solar wind indicators service
used tools:
Vscod tool was used to program the website
GitHub - Muneera-Salah/Cosmic-Ray-Alarm
And Adobe XD and Adobe Photoshop tool for designing the interfaces of the website
We have benefited from extracting information from the following websites
GOES Proton Flux | NOAA / NWS Space Weather Prediction Center
https://agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/2016SW001533
Space Agency Data
GOES Proton Flux | NOAA / NWS Space Weather Prediction Center
We were inspired by this site for the basic idea by knowing the values of the GOES PROTON FLUX
From this site we identified the high and low cosmic rays
Hackathon Journey
My experience in this challenge is a wonderful one despite the lack of time, but my team encouraged me to continue and they trusted the proposed idea, and we also took an approach that is not impossible despite the difficulties. Thank you to NASA for giving us this wonderful challenge. Thank you to the competition organizers for their efforts with us during this challenge. I also thank my team members for their efforts.

I would like to thank you to give me a chance to participate in Nasa Space App Challenge 2021. It's my second time after Challenge in 2018. it was a wonderful experience in working Space Science.
I would like to thank you very much to our team for the awesome effort in a short period. "Keep Going"
