SAR explained in 3 minutes

High-Level Project Summary

As Camelot, we believe that equality is important. We read resources from our challenges page and tried to come up with an unique explanation for each teammate about SAR. Afterwards, we knew that we needed to make the video easy to teach. For this, we used cartoon-styled animations, figures and logos to see how we can explain SAR(Synthetic-aperture radar) system in the easiest way possible. Since our team has 2 Computer Engineers and 2 Storytellers, we could easily develop a solution for this. SAR(Synthetic-aperture radar) can be already explained through internet and using lots of jargon. We believe learning is for everyone and even the hardest things can be explained clearly to people.

Detailed Project Description

SAR explained in 3 minutes makes it accessible and easy for people to understand complicated informations and jargons easily. It helps people who wants to know about the SAR technology more. It can be a kid, it can be an adult. As Camelot, we want to achieve an accurate understanding and equality. We believe even complicated things can be understood if it is told in the right way. We used Autodesk 3ds Max, Photoshop, Canva, Premiere Pro for this. Two of our teammates were used to be a Trainer from Space Camp Turkey. They also taught us how to implement ideas and how to give the best meaning to it. So, it was even educational between us.

Space Agency Data

We used the data from the resources page in our challenge website from NASA - Space Apps Challenge and we used European Space Agency data as well. It inspired us in a efficiently way because the media files and the information helped us a lot about what we need to create.

Hackathon Journey

As Camelot, we enjoyed this Hackathon a lot. This is our first hackathon and we believe it will not be the last one because enjoying while learning and trying to find a solution to a problem is just amazing. Brainstorm sessions were intense for us but profitable. If we had more time, we would be doing a lot of things. We even wanted to map and create a real-time simulation for the SAR. We overcomed hardships like editing, mapping but the hardest challenge was to make it easy and accessible for everyone.

Our team has 2 computer engineers and 2 storytellers. It was amazing to see how we could solve problems quickly and some not that quick. Life is filled with hardships and we encounter to them every day. The reason why we choose this challenge was because of this. We know that learning and accessing easily to informations is a challenge by itself and we wanted to progress this by explaining one system called SAR. Hackathon journey is filled with amazing things. We enjoyed every bit. Camelot is grateful to be here.
