High-Level Project Summary
We developed a way to explain SAR in our native language which is the Malay Sarawak language. It solves the challenge as we need to explain SAR to the public and our community in an effective and efficient way. It is important as many people in Sarawak do not know what SAR is or have difficulty in understanding what SAR does. Other than that, we realize how difficult it is to deliver the information in our native language.

Detailed Project Description
In our project, we are creating a lesson video about what Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) is which consists of how to have access to the open source data and its impact in our community, here in Sarawak. This project caters to Sarawakians as we speak in our native language which is the Malay Sarawak language. We hope that people in Sarawak can understand SAR more in depth from our video.

Space Agency Data
We used NASA Earth Data website as a stepping stone to explore more about Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) technology. From there we found other space agencies which offer free open data on SAR such as European Space Agency (ESA) and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). Both space agencies offer some tutorials and webinar on how to access SAR data and some basic information on how the data were developed. From NASA-ISRO SAR (NISAR) Mission website, we found various applications of SAR which can benefit our state in the future.
Hackathon Journey
We learned how to manage the challenge in a team virtually. We were inspired by how advanced Synthetic Aperture Radar can go since Carl Wiley first invented it in 1951. Our approach to deliver the information about SAR in our native language which was the Malay Sarawak language. Other than that, we realize how difficult it is to deliver the information in our native language. We turned to ourselves and googled to translate the information in Malay Sarawak. We asked some questions to the Local Lead, Teacher Teo. We want to give ourselves a pat on the back for trying to solve this challenge. We also would like to thank NASA space apps challenge for giving us the required resources that we need to get through this challenge. We would like to thank NASA space apps Sarawak for the helpful workshops, merchandise and the fun hackathon weekend.
Nevertheless, we faced some problems during our second day of hackathon. There power was cut off and no internet connection for a few hours in the morning. We had some delays in our planning. We were not able to insert the English subtitle in our final video. In Detailed Project Description section, we include our English subtitle script.
