Detailed Project Description
SAR is the abbreviation for Synthetic Aperture Radar. This is a special radar technique, which allows users to obtain high-resolution radar images over great distances, e.g. eg from space.
With SAR, it would be possible to identify movements and count the destroyed areas even with a cloud of smoke.
Among other sectors that can benefit, such as agriculture, natural disasters, ship traffic, topography, border security, mining, soil interferometry, watersheds, dam disasters, oil and gas.
Space Agency Data
The resource tab data needed on the challenge website were used to enrich the work. Sites were cited in the references.
Hackathon Journey
The experience acquired in the NASA challenge has greatly enriched according to our areas of knowledge, since, before the challenge, there was no understanding by the members of the group of the importance of radar. The inventions in this area are fundamental for our society, as the radar predicts events and helps to reduce the impact.
