We, Team Space Eye taking the challenge of WHAT ON EARTH IS SYNTHETIC APERTURE RADAR? in the knowledge category.

In this challenge, we made a 4 minutes video on Synthetic Aperture Radar technology in our own language (Bengali) with English subtitles. Through this there maybe 250 million people all over the world who speaks Bengali, will be able to easily learn about SAR technology and understand the benefits of its data.

Our main target is explaining the SAR(Synthetic Aperture Radar) technology and its capabilities to non-experts, whether they be scientists from other disciplines. Because the tremendous impact of SAR data can have will only be realized if the public understands the data and its potential. In our video, we tried to explain SAR technology in a very public-friendly way. We have also created our own Website and Facebook page to keep people informed about SAR in the long run. From our website, people will be able to know more details about SAR and the use of its data.

In the future, we will be organizing various seminars on SAR by using websites and social media to introduce SAR technology to the maximum number of people.

NASA Data -

1. What is Synthetic Aperture Radar? [ We used data from here to understand the measurement method, benefits and working principle of SAR. Then we explain SAR technology in our video, using the Bengali language. Our video is mainly for non-experts. ]
2. NISAR Applications white papers [ From here we learn about different uses of NISAR. Later we used this information in our video and website.]
3. NISAR multimedia page [ We used some video footage from here for our video and website.]
4. NISAR - Watching Earth Move  [ From this video, we are able to know some important information about the NISAR project. Which will help us to inform people about Nisha later.]

1. Sentinel-1: Radar mission [ The radar mission is the first of the Copernicus program, providing an all-weather, day-and-night supply of imagery for Copernicus user services. We gained knowledge from this video about the SAR satellite mission.]
2. Synthetic Aperture Radar Land Applications Tutorial [ Linked this pdf to our website for easy access of the public.] 

For the first time, we have been taking part in this kind of competition. When we came to know about this competition, we badly wanna took part in it. Because by this competition we are able to directly connected with NASA. 

But the problem was we aren't that pro at making apps and websites. Then we know about our challenge. The challenge seems pretty much interesting to us and it was also suitable with our skills. So we accepted this challenge. 

This challenge makes a huge impact on our knowledge. We have studied a lot of books and also have researched a lot on radar science and SAR technology. 

We are feeling much updated and we are way ahead of our batchmate in this category.

& At the same time, we feel much proud of ourselves that we have been short-listed. All of our team members have put up their best efforts in this. It was a wonderful journey & we have enjoyed it a lot. Besides all of that, we learned a lot.

Group tasking is always interesting to us. It makes our bond much stronger. The combination of us is just amazing. Thank you BASIS & NASA for arranging this kind of wonderful contest which makes us connected & also finds solutions to our local problems.
