High-Level Project Summary

We made a video presentation explaining what SAR is and how does it work, as well as how it improve society. We watched video clips of how SAR works and came up with a solution of explanation. It is important due to the knowledge we want participants to know that SAR is a beneficial type of satellite that helps to prevent natural disasters and prevent people from danger.

Detailed Project Description

SAR stands for Synthetic Aperture Radar, it is a form of satellite imaging that has been miniaturized. It provides high-resolution detailed map, as well as 2D,3D,4D mappings. It tracks the signs of wildfires and other natural disasters and minimize damage on properties and lives. We hope to achieve the worlds mapping and other planets mapping. We did not use any softwares but lot of websites and videos because we have to draw a modified version of SAR and how it works.

Space Agency Data

I found links of NASA interpretation on SAR, it tells us what our final project looks like and how it should work as well as contributing our individual tasks. I pulled some of the details from the website and it inspired us by looking through interesting pictures of SAR from the website.

Hackathon Journey

Our Space Apps experience was great but time consuming, we all learned SAR, what is it, how does it work and benefits to society. In addition, we also improved on group corporations and participations. Our inspiration came from a satellite advertisement that pop up when we were trying to decide on our topics. Our approach to developing this project is to thoroughly understand how SAR works and tell everyone its benefits. We have faced challenges such as drawing a animation of how it works because we have to demo hundreds of pictures repeating the same process and timing the presentation time. I'd like to thank my group members contributing so much of our works and spend lot of time on researches.
