In SAR We Trust

High-Level Project Summary

We created a video to educate the general public about synthetic aperture radar, the idea is that citizens can be interested in how it works, its data collection and future applications. In a summarized and understandable way, we explain the synthetic aperture radar (SAR) in a simple and understandable language. We point out the importance of obtaining SAR data that can be used to identify and predict changes in the structure of the Earth, so it is extremely important that the general public understands it so that they can decipher the data, understand its importance and prepare for eventually a natural incident that affects their communities.

Hackathon Journey

The first day we were learning about what the SAR system is, we were amazed with the technological advancement of this system over the years. We look for information on official sites of NASA and other agencies such as the Argentine space agency, CONAE.

On the second day we define what information to introduce in the presentation video and in the document that is the final project, we learned a lot about the present and future applications of the SAR and we try to explain it so that we first understand it and then any citizen so that it can getting informed
